How to dictate in any app
Tap the dictation keys, talk, and Koi types where your cursor is, in any Mac app. Voice commands, offline use, languages and how to stop, step by step.

How to do it
- Tap Fn + ⌘ once. A light runs round the edge of your screen while the call is on.
- Ask anything: "what does this error mean?", "which one do I click?", "draw me how this works".
- Talk over it any time, or add more while it works ("actually, make it daily") and it takes it in.
- Tap Fn + ⌘ again to hang up, or just stop talking.

- Seeing your screen needs Screen Recording: System Settings, Privacy & Security, Screen & System Audio Recording (Screen Recording on macOS 14).
- Settings, Koi, "Show Koi my screen": with every question, when you ask, or never.
- It circles buttons and draws on a board over the screen. The marks go when they've served their purpose.
- Koi never buys, pays, sends, posts, deletes, signs in or types a password. It circles the button for you to press.
- Talk with Koi on the dock, or in the menu bar, starts and ends a call too.
