Koi is a Mac app that types what you say, records your calls and lets you talk to Koi, an assistant that sees your screen. It is built so that what you say, type and set up stays on your Mac, unless leaving it is necessary for the thing you just asked for. Below is what we meet, where your data lives, who helps us run it, and the documents behind it.

USFrequently asked questions
No. The speech models run on your Mac, so dictation works offline and what you say never leaves it.
Your voice goes to the AI provider while Koi listens. A picture of your screen or the text you selected goes along only while that switch is on in Settings. Our server keeps what the call cost, never what was said, shown or written.
Its audio and video never do. If you turn on call notes, its transcript's words go to the AI provider when the call ends, to write a title, a summary and your to-dos, and our server keeps none of it. With call notes off, nothing from a recorded call leaves your Mac.
No. We don't train any models, and our server keeps none of what you say or write.
Not yet. This page will say so the day we do. Until then, the Privacy Policy describes exactly what we keep.
macOS 14 or later, on Apple silicon and Intel. Every release is signed by us and notarized by Apple.
Pages and history are files on your Mac that you delete in the app. Delete your account in Settings, under Account, and your records are removed from our server. Only a one-way fingerprint of your address stays, so Free can't be claimed twice.
