How to use documents

Everything you dictate, record or write lives in Koi's documents, on your Mac. The dock's top button opens them in a window with a list down the left.

By Irakli, founder ·

How to do it

  1. Click the top button on the dock. ⌘\ hides and shows the list.
  2. Click New document on the dock, or press ⌘N, then type or talk.
  3. Type "/" for blocks: /todo, /table, /chart, /equation, /flashcards.
  4. Pick the paper size top left: Normal, A4, US Letter, A5 or US Legal.
  5. The page's menu has Share…, Copy as Markdown, and Export to Word or PDF.

Worth knowing

  • Drag pages into groups you name. A Koi chat dragged into Recents stays there.
  • Deleted pages wait in Recently Deleted for 30 days.
  • Settings, General, Export as Markdown writes every page to a folder, ready for Obsidian.
  • On a call, "make me a page comparing these plans" makes one for you.
