The best Pastebot alternatives for Mac

Pastebot 3 has filters, stacks and iCloud sync, and needs macOS 26. Maccy is free, Paste syncs to iPhone, Raycast's is free in Raycast, and Koi keeps 6 months in the notch on macOS 14 and later.

What Pastebot does, and what it costs

Pastebot, by Tapbots, opens Quick Paste with ⇧⌘V in any app. Filters change text as you paste and can be stacked and given shortcuts, Stacks paste items one after another, and custom and smart Pastebins sort clippings. iCloud syncs it across your Macs, and a blacklist keeps apps out.

Pastebot 3 is $39 with a year of updates, then $19 a year, keeping the last version you paid for; or $24.99 a year or $2.99 a month on the App Store, with a 14-day trial. It needs macOS 26 Tahoe or later.

We make Koi, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about another app comes from its own site or App Store page, checked October 26, 2026.

The best Pastebot alternatives for Mac in 2026

1. Koi

Best for: Six months of what you copy, in the notch, on your Mac only

Koi's Copy history keeps words, links, pictures and the paths of files you copy in Finder for 6 months, only on your Mac. It never keeps passwords or what apps mark as private, and it's never sent or read by Koi's AI. Open it from the notch's Tools: search it, pin what matters, copy it again.

Where Pastebot is better, plainly: its filters, stacks and sync across Macs, and a shortcut in any app. Koi's Copy history is simpler: a list and search in the notch, on one Mac. Koi is $15 a month or Lifetime, paid once, with dictation, call recording and an assistant in the same app.

2. Spotlight, built in

Best for: Free, nothing to install, for the last hours or days

On macOS Tahoe, press ⌘Space, then ⌘4, for Spotlight's clipboard history. Apple's help for macOS 27 keeps it 30 minutes, 8 hours or 7 days. Seehow to find something you copied earlier.

3. Maccy

Best for: Free and open source

Keyboard first, local only. Free; App Store $9.99. macOS 14 or later. More in our Maccy alternatives.

4. Paste
