How to turn on keyboard sounds

Settings, Notch & tools, Keyboard sounds: turn it on, pick a pack, and every key you press in any app clicks like a real keyboard.

By Irakli, founder ·

How to do it

  1. Open Koi's Settings and go to Notch & tools, or hover the notch, open Tools and click Keyboard sounds.
  2. Turn on Keyboard sounds.
  3. Pick one of the 16 packs. Each types "hello koi" as you pick it, so you hear it first.
  4. Set the volume.

Worth knowing

  • The packs: Tactile, Clicky, Linear, Brown, Thock, Alps, Buckling, Retro, Office, Membrane, Laptop, Typewriter, Toy, Pop, Click and Tick.
  • It's quiet for a key held down repeating, in password fields, for what Koi types, while you dictate, on a call with Koi, while a call is recorded, and while a meeting app has the microphone.
  • Koi hears each key through Accessibility only to play its sound. Which key it was is never kept, logged or sent.
  • The packs are free-to-use recordings, credited in the app.
  • On a call, ask Koi: "turn on keyboard sounds", "use the typewriter sounds", "set them to 40%".
