FigJam is Figma's online whiteboard: sticky notes you can sort into themes, shapes and connectors that snap to the grid, stamps, emotes and stickers, widgets from the Community, and over 300 ready-made templates. It's built for teams: editing together in real time, comments, audio, cursor chat and Spotlight, and guests can join for 24 hours without an account. Its AI can summarize stickies, sort them into groups and generate boards for syncs and brainstorms.
FigJam comes with every Figma seat. The free Starter plan has 3 FigJam files plus unlimited drafts and 30 days of version history. On Professional, a Collab seat is $3 a month and a Full seat $16, and students and teachers get it free. It runs in the browser, in Figma's desktop app (macOS 12 or later) and on iPad, with files in Figma's cloud.
We make Koi, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about another app comes from that app's own site, checked October 26, 2026.
The picks
Best for: A private board on your Mac's desktop that Koi draws on with you
Koi's board is an endless whiteboard like Excalidraw, drawn by the Mac app itself. It sits on your wallpaper as a widget; click it and it grows into a full window. Shapes, arrows, sticky notes, tables, pictures and stickers, ten templates, and a chat bar where you ask Koi to draw, change or explain the board. Each board is a file on your Mac.
Where FigJam is better, plainly: it's made for teams, with live editing, comments, audio and guests, it has far more templates and widgets, it runs in any browser and on iPad, and it's free to start. Koi's board is for one person on one Mac, with no sharing but export. It comes with Koi, which is $20 a month or Lifetime, paid once, with dictation, call recording and an assistant in the same app.
