What Granola's MCP does, and what it costs

Granola's MCP server lets AI apps read your Granola meeting notes: ask about your meetings, list and get them, read a transcript, list folders, and get screenshots of screens shared in a meeting. It's hosted by Granola, you sign in with your browser, and it works with Claude, Claude Code and any app that takes a remote MCP server. No tools to write or change notes are listed.

On Granola's free plan, MCP reaches your own notes from the last 30 days. Business, $14 per user a month, opens MCP in all your apps, and transcripts and folders need a paid plan.

We make Koi, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about another app comes from its own site, checked October 26, 2026.

The best Granola MCP alternatives in 2026

1. Koi

Best for: Your calls and notes, on your Mac, read and written

Koi records your calls on your Mac with no bot, writes notes on them with a yes, and runs an MCP server there too. Connect Claude, Cursor, Claude Code or Codex in Settings and they can search every call, page and dictation you have, with no 30-day limit, and also write pages, add to your calendar and draw on Koi's board. Nothing goes through our server.

Where Granola is better, plainly: it works in the browser apps with no install, it has team workspaces and folders, and its MCP can hand over screenshots from a meeting. Koi is Mac only, $20 a month or Lifetime, paid once, and its AI apps connect to the Koi on your Mac. More on Granola itself in our Granola alternatives.

2. Notion MCP

Best for: Meeting notes kept in Notion

Notion's MCP reads and writes your pages, databases and calendar events, and can search its AI meeting notes on Business with Notion AI. It's hosted by Notion, and its docs name Claude Code, Cursor and Codex.
